The Crossing
We believe that experiencing life in Christ is all about knowing Him personally and living within the reality of His presence. While many traditions, rituals and practices have come to represent Jesus, we realize that many people have come to either hide behind, or hide from those things. We believe Jesus’ life is best experienced in an honest pursuit of the transforming heart of Jesus, and that we must become authentic and transparent with Him, and others, to fully live His life.
The Crossing is an intersection. We are a community at the junction where Christian Culture and World Culture normally collide. We choose to merge these cultures so that the real experience of Life in Jesus Christ can be shared where it’s needed most.
Life in Christ
Experiencing Life in Christ takes a community of people who are connected by their passion for Jesus’ life, who nurture one-another, who are accountable to one-another, who train each other in the Christian Way, and who join together in the presence of God. Only then are we truly Jesus’ Church.
We believe that sharing Christ in life is all about making immediate and eternal impact in people’s lives. We do this by using elements of the culture within which we are placed to show that Jesus and His life are real and life-changing. We don’t ignore or hide from the culture, but rather we seek to redeem it. We use the elements of this culture as our connection with the people who live within it. These elements include media, mindset, philosophy, music, technology, lifestyle, current events, recreation, celebrity, and relationships.
Sharing Christ in life carries with it the ability and responsibility of transforming our world. We show confidence in the power of the Holy Spirit by positively influencing our culture, and by caring for those in need. To share Jesus in life is to be a “city on a hill” as a community, and to be “salt and light” as individuals.

“Wolpert: How would you define ‘missional living‘?
Stetzer: Missional living is essentially living [...]
